| This an historic stone bridge that will now give access to farmers who live on the eastern side of of the coliban river and the new freeway that bypasses Malmsbury and Taradale.The bridge that was built in the 1880s, is unique as it's decking is bluestone slabs inserted into steel H sections (RSJ) the poored bitchermin over top then road base over that again. Vic Roads engaged us to poor a 225mm concrete slab over the decking, so modern heavy vericles could service this area, but didnt interfer with the integrity of the bridge. | |
